NLS: Negotiation, Mediation and Client Counselling Competition, 2016
Greetings from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
NLS NMC (Negotiation, Mediation and Client Counselling Competition) is renowned as the most prestigious Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) tournament in our country, witnessing participation from almost every prestigious law university. The tournament consists of three distinct segments viz. Negotiation, Mediation and Client Counselling, conducted simultaneously for four days witnessing participation of over 100 teams, and 200+ participants.
The purpose of the event (NLS NMC 2016) is to promote legal awareness, and develop vocational skills of negotiation and mediation to supplement the less than optimum education imparted across law colleges and the increasingly litigious environment in the country.
We’re collaborating, with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Paris for our Mediation Tournament and the International Negotiation Competition, Switzerland for our Negotiation tournament; with winners representing India in the most prestigious international competitions.
We’re also collaborating with the Young Mediator’s Initiative and the Bangalore International Mediation, Arbitration & Conciliation Centre (BIMACC) for technical ADR support. The Eastern Book Company and SCC Online shall be our Knowledge Partners with The Practical Lawyer as the Magazine Partner, besides the Government of India’s Online Consumer Dispute Mediation Centre, recently set up at NLSIU and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
The NLS NMC 2016 will be held from 14-17th April, 2016, on our campus in Nagarbhavi, Bangalore.
