Q. Can one team (consisting of two members) participate in more than one event?
A. Theoretically, a two member team can participate in more than one event. However, the post break rounds for all three events will be held simultaneously. Therefore, in an event that a team makes it to the post break rounds of more than one event, such a team would have to choose any one event.
Q. Can a University be registered to participate in just one event?
A. Yes, a University can register for any one event. However, preference would be given to those Universities which register for all the events.
Q. What is the precise area of law that should be looked at for the Client Counselling Competition?
A. The problem will be released on 1-2 April. The area of law to be looked at will be evident from the nature of the problem.
Q. Will multiple slots be allotted to each participating College? If so, when will the intimation about allotment of slots be made?
A. Yes, multiple slots will be allotted to participating Universities based on availability. Please get in touch with the organisers for information related to multiple slots.
Q. Is there a qualification process for participation in the tournament?
A. No, there is no qualification process for participation in the tournament. Slots in the tournament will be given on first come first serve basis on completion of the registration process.
Q. In the mediation tournament, will all the three members be mediators or will each member be allotted a specific role? Will this role be decided by the Organising Committee or the participating members themselves?
A. In the mediation tournament, out of the team consisting of three persons, one will be the designated mediator, the other two shall form a client-advocate pair. The roles must be specified at time of registration and cannot be changed during the tournament.
Q. Is the amount of ₹1500 payable for the entire team or is a per member charge?
A. The amount of ₹1500 is the registration amount payable by each member of a team. If any member of a team requires accommodation the total amount including registration and accommodation would be ₹2500.

A. No, students pursuing LLM are not allowed to participate in any of the events.

A. The dates of the events are from 14th-17th April 2016.

A. The last date to register for NMC 2016 is 5th April, 2016.
Q. What time will the opening and closing ceremonies be held?
A. The tournament will begin at 2 PM on the 14th of April 2016 and end by 6 PM on the 17th of April 2016.
Q. In the mediation event, how do teams qualify?
A. In the mediation event, the designated mediator and the client-advocate pair compete independently of each other. The two shall necessarily not compete in the same room as each other. Consequently, both shall break to Quarters independently of each other.
Q. What are the dates on which accommodation will be provided by the organisers?
A. Accommodation will be provided by the organisers from the morning of the 14th of April 2016, until the evening of the 17th of April 2016.
Q. What if there are any special requirements that teams require for accommodation?
A. If teams require any special arrangements for accommodation, such as accommodation for periods prior to and after the dates on which accommodation will be provided by the organisers or accommodation according to gender, they need to get in touch with the organisers at the earliest. Such accommodation will be provided by the organisers at the applicable additional cost.
